GCMHS Lakki wins scouting contest

LAKKI MARWAT The students of Government Centennial Model High School Lakki have won the scouting competition in the annual district high and higher secondary schools tournament festival on Saturday. Only two schools - GCMHS Lakki and GHSS Abakhel participated in the scouting competition, which was held in the Centennial Model High School here. Member National Scout Council Haji Fakhrud Din and former ADO (Physical) Abdul Hameed Khan performed as judges while principal Muhammad Umar, scout leaders, teachers and scout lovers were also present on the occasion. Under the supervision of the scout leaders the scouts of both schools had set up camps by pitching up tents in the compound of school. They had decorated the camps with colourful banners carrying messages regarding scouting, gadgets and welcome slogans. The judges examined/inspected the scout assembly and camp decoration by the scouts of both schools. They also talked to the scouts on matters pertaining to scouting as part of plan to assess their knowledge about scouting movement. Later, announcing the results they declared Government Centennial Model High School Lakki as winner and Government Higher Secondary School Abakhel as runner up in scouting competition.
