No Eid 'holiday for wheelies

OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Chief Traffic Officer SSP Syed Ahmed Mobin has directed his force to avoid issuing challans on minor violations during the Eid holidays. He, however, ordered a stern action should against wheelies and signal violators. According to an official handout on Saturday, the CTO said the traffic wardens should guide citizens, especially the violators, politely on trivial traffic negligences in reverence of the Eidul Azha. Chairing a special meeting on divisional SPs and Circles DSPs on Saturday at his office, the CTO directed them to show no soft corner for habitual wheelies, signal violators and rash drivers. All the circle officers were directed to continue patrolling around mosques, imambargahs, worship plazas and recreational places. The CTO further directed them to ensure proper parking in specified lots in Racecourse Park, Lahore Zoo, Jinnah Garden, Minar-e-Pakistan, Jallu Park, Sifari Park, Model Town Park and other such open places.
