Wajid takes over as 9th IG of NH&MP

OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE The newly-appointed Inspector General of National Highways & Motorway Police, Mr Wajid Ali Durrani took over at the charge on Saturday as the 9th Inspector General of the NH&MP. He secures an excellent track record of professional competence in the Police Department. He held numerous important assignments in Sindh. He has also served as DIG Traffic in Karachi, DIG Special Branch, Additional IGP of Sindh, IGP in Islamabad and IGP in Sindh in his 33 years of service. He was awarded President Police Medal in 1983 and Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal in 1985 in recognition of his gallantry in service. While addressing the senior officers of NH&MP IG Wajid Ali Durrani emphasized that special arrangements should be made to facilitate the road users at the sacred occasion of Eid ul Azha.
