Pak woman gets place in BBC 100 Women

Fesco received no complaint till 10th Moharram

FAISALABAD (PR): No complaint was received in the eight district of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) regarding electricity arrangements from 1st to 10th of Moharram because of the proper planning of the company.

DIB Shari’a board chairman visits Pakistan

Karachi (PR): Dr. Hussein Hamed Hassan, Chairman of Shari’a Board for Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) the world’s first Islamic Bank recently visited Pakistan to meet various Shari’a scholars, Government dignitaries, senior Islamic bankers, State Bank of Pakistan officials (including Mr. Saeed Ahmed, Deputy Governor State Bank of Pakistan), prominent Pakistani businessmen and Dubai Islamic Bank Pakistan (DIBPL) management.

 Dr Hussein Hamed Hassan, is considered as one of the founding fathers of Islamic finance due to his immense contribution to developing structures for the day to day running of Islamic banks and financial institutions.

Google, LG enter agreement

LAHORE (PR): LG Electronics Inc. (LG) and Google Inc. have entered into a long-term patent cross-licensing agreement covering a broad range of products and technologies. The agreement covers the two companies’ existing patents as well as those filed over the next 10 years.

“We’re pleased to enter into this agreement with a leading global technology company like LG,” said Allen Lo, deputy general counsel for patents at Google. “By working together on cross-licenses like this, companies can focus on bringing great products and services to consumers around the world.”
