ISLAMABAD - Pakistan's top player Nasir Iqbal was badly hit by his opponent during his $25,000 Lagos International Squash Championship 2014 first round match against local favorite Adwwala Amao which forced Pakistani to concede the match.

Nasir was leading 1-0 when he had to take treatment, as his opponent hit him with elbow. He won the first game 11-9, before he was hit in the stomach and he was feeling grave pain in the abdomen. Nasir had no other option but to shake hands and concede the match.

While Farhan Zaman and Danish Atlas got off to flying start in the championship.

Farhan Zaman beat Jordanian Ahmed Alsiraj 3-0 in just 28 minutes. The first game was bit tough which he won 12-10, and after that he settled well and won the next game 11-7 and third game 11-3. In another first round match, Danish beat local lad Moses Durosinmi 3-0 in 35 minutes. Danish won the encounter 11-5, 11-4, 11-5. Danish will take on top seed Adrian Grant of England in the quarterfinal, while Farhan Zaman will play against Adwwala Amao.
