Lahore- The provincial governments have been directed by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharis, to ensure that benefits of cut in petroleum prices reach the common man.

Punjab government has set up special squads to ensure implementation of new petroleum prices. The squads have been directed to take action against owners of filling stations and transporters charging higher prices and fair. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Transport Department has issued revised transport fares. Balochistan Chief Minister directed the authorities to ensure decrease in fares of public and goods transport. In Sindh, the transport minister met office bearers of various transport associations and they agreed to reduce seven percent transport fares.
