LAHORE - PIA during post-Haj operation has transported more than 46,900 Hajis from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan through 104 post-Haj flights and its regular scheduled flights, said spokesman of the airline on Wednesday.

He said that the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), King Abdul Aziz International Airport, has issued certificate of appreciation for excellent services and cooperation during Haj 1435 H. PIA made special arrangements to provide guidance and assistance to Hajis at check-in counters, filling of immigration forms and guidance before security screening at Haj terminal including information and guidance provided at PIA offices in Saudi Arabia.  PIA has so far, carried 3,942 Hajis through 12 post-Haj flights to Karachi, 6,715 Hajis through 18 post-Haj flights to Lahore, 5,224 Hajis through 12 flights to Islamabad, 6106 Hajis through 19 flights to Peshawar, 9,113 Hajis through 29 flights to Quetta, 3,594 Hajis through 11 flights to Multan and 1,498 Hajis to Sialkot through 03 post-Haj flights.

PIA is also carrying Hajis on its regular scheduled flights to the major cities of Pakistan and has carried more than 10,700 Hajis. The airline’s post-Haj operation which commenced on 8th October 2014 will conclude on 7th November 2014.
