Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, paying rich tributes to the 1947 martyrs of Jammu, has said that the best way of paying homage to them is to make the proposed Million March a big success and send a clear message to the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and the international community that Kashmiris are demanding inalienable right to self-determination.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Million March programme of November 7 at TRC in Srinagar would be an open and clear message to those people who mercilessly massacred lakhs of innocent and unarmed Muslims in Jammu in 1947.

According to Kashmir Media Service (KMS), he said that the shameful and inhuman incident of 1947 was the most brutal episode of the human history in which the people belonging to the organizations affiliated with Sangh Parivar like RSS, Bajrang Dal, Shiv Sena, BJP, VHP etc. butchered 500,000 innocent human beings in Jammu just for being Muslims.

Lashing out at Mufti Sayeed and his party, the veteran leader said that those who killed lakhs of innocent Muslims and raped thousands of Muslim women in Jammu in 1947 were today not only being welcomed in Kashmir but the so-called Muslim puppet Chief Minister of the territory, Mufti Muhammad Sayeed, was also heaping praises over those murderers who knew nothing about the humanity.

Syed Ali Gilani assured the Muslims of Jammu division that the people of the Kashmir Valley would never leave them on the mercy of the communal and fascist forces of India. He, however, urged the Jammu Muslims to be united against the communal and fanatic people of India.

He also appealed to all the imams and khateebs to make the public aware about the wicked designs of the communal people of India in their Friday sermons and the importance of the Million March programme scheduled on November 7 at the TRC ground in Srinagar.
