FAKE JUICE SEIZED

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) seized and discarded 11,000 fake juice bottles and 17,000 chemical bottles during a raid on two factories in Wandala Pind on Sunday.  The owner of the factories managed to flee. The PFA lodged cases against them.  PFA ADG Operations Rafia Haider told the media that machines being used in juice manufacturing were uninstalled and taken into the custody by the PFA. “On a tip off, the PFA vigilance cell followed the vehicles, which were supplying fake juices to various shops,” she said.

The factories were making juices of different ‘brands’. The PFA seized the supple record and started an investigation.
