rawalpindi-Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation plans to develop a health centre, gym and swimming pool in Flashman’s Hotel to promote tourism and enhance its services.

Managing Director PTDC Ch Abdul Ghafoor Khan, in a meeting with Executive Director College of Tourism and Hotel Management Asif Javed and Administrative Heads, said the organisation has a chain of motels located at prime tourist locations and a hotel in the city.

He directed that rooms of motels and the hotel be renovated and upgraded besides improving the food & beverages departments NGOs and pharmaceutical companies be approached to hold their meetings, conferences and seminars in PTDC hotels.

PTDC he said needs to adopt a dynamic strategy to promote tourism in the country. He said the corporation will also hold food festivals and provide affordable services for middle-class families. Khan said the staff will be trained to provide service of international standards. Executive Director Asif Javed said that they are ready to train PTDC employees and support the Corporation to introduce strategy for services. He also assured his cooperation for the uplift of Daman-e-Koh restaurant in Islamabad and improvement of its food services.
