A survey recently conducted across the globe revealed interesting shades of opinion about War on Terror. It showed majority of people in Pakistan and Egypt think Al-Qaeda is winning against Americans. The survey said that seven years after United States launched its campaign following the September 11 attacks, even the Americans appear doubtful about prospects of their success. However, the people of Kenya, Nigeria, Turkey, and some countries in Europe, think the Americans are winning. Even so, at least ten percent of respondents from these countries also thought Al-Qaeda might win this war after all. -FARZANA KAUSAR, Lahore, via e-mail, September 30.
