LAHORE Senior leader of PML-Q Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi has said that the Punjab government has wasted billion of rupees in running programs of task forces and sasti roti which turned the province into bankrupt. Talking to party leaders at his residence here on Tuesday, he said present government would be questioned about every penny. He said despite of precious vehicles and other luxuries, task forces had failed to provide any relief to the people of Punjab. Govt urged to call APC on KBD The PML (Like-Minded) on Tuesday demanded the government call an all-party conference to evolve consensus on Kalabagh Dam, a project without which it says resolution of the energy crisis will not be possible. The partys provincial Information Secretary Mian Muhammad Asif said power outages were hitting the economy like drone. He said in the prevailing situation people were not in a position to afford any more taxes. And in case the government still tried to burden them, they would be left with no option but to go for suicide. Mian Asif recalled that the minister for water and power had given many timelines to overcome load-shedding. However, he had failed to honour his commitments. Now, he said, the minister should step down.
