RAWALPINDI – Pakistan Customs, while foiling an attempt to smuggle a huge quantity of drugs to Belgium, seized 9.20-kg heroin of fine quality on wee hours of Friday and nabbed two smugglers at Benazir Bhutto International Airport.

The arrested smugglers were identified as Mehar Ali Shah and Muhammad Riaz Baig and a case has been registered against them.

A source claimed that during investigation, the accused revealed that they bought this heroin from Rawalpindi whereas another consignment of 10-kg heroin was also to be smuggled from BBIIAP to Belgium from where it was to be sent to Holland. Raids were being conducted by the Customs authorities to net other gang members in the twin cities, source said.

Meanwhile,  Rawalpindi Traffic Police (RTP) will issue international standard driving licenses to the citizens.

These licenses have been imported from Germany. All the security aspects have been taken into consideration in the preparation of these licenses.
