MPs apprise PM of projects

ISLAMABAD - Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, Dr Farooq Sattar, Senator Sugrah Imam, Rana M Farooq, Minister for Climate Change, Sardar Saleem, Minister of State for Defence Production, Imtiaz Safdar Warraich MNA, Abdul Qadir Patel, MNA, Ejaz Virk MNA, Sardar Mushtaq MNA, Laeq M. Khan MNA, Rai Mujtaba Kharal MNA and Ch M Yaseen met the Prime Minister at his chamber in the Parliament House separately.While talking to Dr Farooq Sattar, Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Senator Sughra Imam, the Prime Minister expressed hope that mega development projects in Karachi including Karachi Circular Railways and Lyari Expressway would be completed on schedule. These projects would bring a visible change in the lives of the people and Karachiites would benefit from modern means of communication. These projects would help ease traffic congestion, as well as save time, said the Prime Minister. Hina Rabbani Khar briefed the Prime Minister about the recently concluded visit of Foreign Minister of Russian Federation to Pakistan. She also briefed him about the forthcoming visit of the Bosnian President to Pakistan.In his meeting with Makhdoom Shahabuddin, Minister for Textile the Prime Minister, said that the development projects taken up by the government in South Punjab would be completed on priority. The minister also apprised the Prime Minister about the problems facing textile industry due to Power Shortage.The Prime Minister assured the minister that a high-powered committee has been constituted to devise a formula for power distribution and the textile sector would be prioritized so that it can be insulated from load-management.The Prime Minister urged the parliamentarians to personally monitor the development schemes in their areas so that the fruit of development could reach the common man.
