KARACHI – Three people including two political workers were gunned down in separate incidents of target killing here on Friday.A gunny bang body of an activist of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) was found from Mosa Lane within the precincts of Baghdadi police station.Police officials said that the victim Amin Ahmed, 25, son of Abdullah Memon was shot dead before his body was thrown at said place. Police said unidentified culprits kidnapped him from somewhere and shot him multiple times after brutal torture. The body was handed over to his family after completing medico legal formalities at Civil Hospital Karachi. Police suspect Lyari gangsters were involved in the murder further investigation is underway. A worker of Sunni Tehreek (ST) was gunned down in Landhi-1 within the limits of Landhi police station.Police officials said that the victim Fida Ali, 23, son of Irshad was sitting outside his home when unidentified men riding a motorbike came close to him and opened fire. Resultantly, he sustained multiple bullet injuries and died on the spot. Police rushed as being informed and shifted the body at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for autopsy and later handed over to his family. The motive behind the killing has yet to be ascertained. A sweet vender was shot dead in Golimar within the jurisdiction of Rizvia police station. Police officials said that the victim namely Atif, 35, son of Khalid was sitting at his shop where unidentified assailants reached and shot him once on his head with a pointblank range. Resultantly he died on the spot and shifted the body at Abbasi shaheed Hospital for postmortem and later handed over to his heirs. Police suspect extortion mafia was behind the murder.
