Profane movie protests rage on

MULTAN - The religious parties continued their protest against profane movie as they marked Friday as protest day in entire South Punjab region. The activists of different religious, political and social parties brought out rallies and held demonstrations in Multan, Vehari, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Layyah, Mailsi, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh and all other adjoining areas. The participants of the rallies shouted slogans against USA and Israel, burnt their flags and effigies of the American Jew who produced the blasphemous film.
Similarly, the clerics strongly condemned the shameful acts of Jews and anti-Islam elements during juma sermons and asked the Ummah to lodge a strong but peaceful protest on the issue.
In Multan, the activists of Jamaatud Dawa and Jamat-e-Islami held separate demonstrations at Chowk Ghanta, Jamiat Talaba Arabia Jamiaul Uloom, Imamia Students Organization Chowk Kumharanwala, Mutahidda Shehri Mahaaz Tehsil Chowk, Jamaat Ahle Sunnat Eidgah and Jamia Islami Rajapur.
Addressing the protesters, the speakers said that the Americans, Israelis and their agents further stepped up their cultural onslaught against Muslims and Islam. They added that the pre-planned satanic attempts on the sanctity of holy personalities were a Jewish conspiracy to tease the Muslims worldwide. They warned that the satanic acts of Jews and Americans jeopardized world peace as the Muslims could not tolerate such things whatsoever. They asked the government to take up this issue at diplomatic level and summon American envoy to convey the sentiments of Muslims and ask US government to extradite the film maker to Pakistan. They strongly criticized OIC and other Muslim rulers, saying all of them played the role of American stooges by keeping mum on this issue. They demanded the government to cut off all ties with USA forthwith.
