KARACHI - Religious parties staged protests against the wicked film after Jumma prayer outside the mosques in the City. Protest demonstration against the sacrilegious film were staged in Nazimabad Board Office, North Karachi, Buffer Zone, Banars, Orangi Town, Baldia Town, Lyari, Gizri, Clifton, Shahfaisal Colony, Malir, Jamsheed road, Landhi, Korangi, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Gulistan-e-Johar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and different places of the metropolis.Jammat-e-Islami leaders including JI Karachi Secretary General Naseem Siddiqui, Nasarullah Shaji, Naeem-ur-Rahman, Berjees Ahmed and others addressed numerous protest demonstrations and corner meetings. Protestors were carrying placards and banners chanted slogan against the wicked movie and its maker. JI’s Naseem Siddiqui urged that Muslims are peaceful but if they get hurt, global peace can’t be maintained. He added all the divine religions in the world preach tolerance, coexistence and respects of view and religion of others.He said that international community should determine the limits of freedom of speech and individual freedom. He also appealed to the masses to participate in the Namoos-e-Mustafa march, scheduled to be held on October 7. Meanwhile, JI Karachi, in a meeting of subordinate bodies and organisations, chaired by JI Karachi Amir Muhammad Hussain Mehnati, reviewed the arrangements of Namoos e Mustafa march scheduled on October 7. Besides JI leaders, representatives of small traders’ association, Shabab Milli, Pakistan Islamic Medical Association, Islami Jamiat Talaba, Jamiat Talaba-e-Arabia, Islamic lawyers association, Tanzeem e Asatza and others participated in the meeting and assured overwhelmingly participation in the programme. The meeting was also informed that JI workers have been contacting with masses on door-to-door basis.
