LAHORE – Wapda and electricity workers took out a rally to protest against anti-Islam movie here the other day.

The protest was held under the aegis of Pakistan WAPDA Hydro Electric Labour Union. The participants carrying national flag and banners condemned production of the movie against Islam. The procession was led by Union leader Khurshid Ahmed, General Secretary Sajid Kazmi, Rana Akram, Osama Tariq, Rana Shakoor, Shoaib, Maqsood Ahmed, Syed Saqlain and others office bearers of the union.

They marched through various roads and held a protest rally at Lakshmi Chowk. They passed a resolution condemning anti-Islam film and urged all Islamic and other peace loving nations to get passed a resolution in UN General Assembly declaring religious sacrilegious as war crime and culprits should be punishable by international court of justice.

They appealed to Islamic nations to withdraw their deposits from foreign banks and use it from elimination of ignorance and poverty and social and economic deprivations of Muslims. They also condemned drone attacks into Pakistan’s boundaries.
