The issue regarding KARKEY Powerships (floating power plants) is of great importance for Pakistan, as we already are suffering from power shortages that need to be addressed. The Turkish firm, after being unable to reach an ‘Out of Court Settlement’ with the Pakistani government has approached the World Bank Affiliated (ICSID) for damages and compensation.The government should take the issue on a war footing, as its a matter of our State's prestige and not a good sign for any further investment in the country.
