ISLAMABAD - Federal Minister for Interior Ch Nisar Ali Khan yesterday briefed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on overall internal security situation in the country with specific reference to the implementation on National Action Plan.
The meeting which took place at the Prime Minister’s House, Interior Minister gave a detailed view of the steps being taken by his ministry for the implementation of National Action Plan.
The prime minister expressed satisfaction over the ongoing operation against militants across the country and hoped that things would further improve in days to come.
It was agreed upon in the meeting that no compromise on the implementation of the National Action Plan would be made and it would continue till the complete elimination of militants, their facilitators and financers from the country.
Both the leaders expressed satisfaction over the marked improvement in the law and order situation in Karachi and agreed to speed it up further for the benefit of public at large, who for the first time in the past two decades feel relieved from the persistent crimes and target killings.
The prime minister appreciated the performance of the law enforcement agencies and expressed the confidence that with cooperation of all concerned the menace of terrorism will be eliminated from the country.
