Mina martyr Murtaza Gillani laid to rest

The funeral of former federal parliamentary secretary Syed Asad Murtaza Gillani, who embraced martyrdom in Mina stampede, was offered here at MCC Ground and he was laid to rest at Darbar Moosa Pak Shaheed on Monday.
The namaz-e-janaza was led by Ameer Jamaat Ahle Sunnat Allama Mazhar Saeed Kazmi and a large number of political leaders and citizens participated in it.
Syed Asad Murtaza Gillani was nephew of former Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani and son of Makhdoom Wajahat Hussain Gillani, caretaker (sajjada nasheen) of Darbar Moosa Pak Shaheed.
Saudi envoy to Pakistan condoled the demise of Syed Asad Murtaza Gillani with the former premier Syed yousuf Raza Gillani on telephone and prayed for the elevation of ranks of the late in heaven.
Prominent among those, who offered namaz-e-janaza, were Makhdoom Javed hashmi, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Pir of Golra Sharif Ghulam Moen ul Haq Shah, federal minister Pir Sadar Uddin Shah Rashdi, Makhdoom Shahb Uddin, Noor Rabbani Khar and Javed Ali Shah.
Strict security arrangements were made by police on this occasion as the MCC ground was sealed and walkthrough gates were installed at the entry points.
