KARACHI - Another four people, including an ANP member, fell prey to target killing in different areas of the provincial capital Monday. The body of an ANP member was recovered from Yasir Apartment at Gulzar-i-Hijri in Sacchal Police limits. Police shifted the body to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities. According to SHO Azhar Iqbal, the victims hands and legs were tied with rope and he had bullet mark on his head. ANP spokesman Qadir Khan said the deceased, identified as Mushtaq Khan, was Gulzar-i-Hijri College unit vice president and a student of intermediate there. The victim was a resident of Metro Ville and abducted from Abul Hassan Ispahani Road, he said, adding that the body carried a message that read: It is the gift of Eid. He condemned the incident and demanded the govt arrest the culprits. One more body was found near Shoe Market in Garden Police precincts. The identity of victim could not be ascertained. Police shifted the corpse to the Civil Hospital for autopsy. The body bore several torture marks. Police have registered a case and launched investigation. Separately, the mutilated body of a boy was recovered from Sector 14-B Orangi Town, police said. According to them, the identity of victim could not be ascertained. Another unidentified body was found from Lyari Naddi in Pak Colony Police limits. SHO Abdul Moid said the body bore several torture marks. No case was registered till filing of this report. Meanwhile, three more people, who sustained wounds in the Godhra clash died, bringing the death toll to eight. Police said Muhammad Ayub Ahmed, Hafizuullah Qadri and Yousaf Ali, who were wounded during the firefight between rival groups in Godhra, New Karachi, succumbed to injuries.
