Anti-state conspiracies afoot: CJP

Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry Tuesday said conspiracies were in the working against the country, adding Karachi was a mini-Pakistan. A larger bench headed by CJ Chaudhry is hearing a suo motu case regarding lawlessness in Karachi at apex courts Karachi Registry. The court directed Sindh government to appoint judges in all Anti-Terrorism Courts (ATCs) and ordered Law Secretary to appear before the court. Giving remarks, CJ Chaudhry queried as to why no action was taken against terrorists after they had been named, expressing concerns over insecurity of citizens of Karachi.
