KARACHI - Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI) chief Maulana Samiul Haq has said that present coalition government of PPP, MQM and ANP has totally failed to control the worse law and order situation of Karachi. Some non-state elements wanted to destabilise the country and spread unrest in the economic hub of the country. We present a tribute to Chief Justice of Pakistan for taking suo moto action on Karachi situation. Addressing a press conference at Karachi press club here on Monday, he said that PPP-led government had totally failed to control the violent incidents in Karachi where innocent people were being killed. Law enforcement agencies have totally failed to control the worse law and order situation of the City. PPP, MQM and ANP are blaming each other on the recent violence. Police have yet not arrested any suspects involved in violent incidents in Karachi, he said. If the PPP, MQM and ANP activists are involved in the recent ethnic killings then serious action should be taken against them without any discrimination. The leaders of all the religious parties should gather on one platform and play their role to restore peace in Karachi, he added. To a question, he said, The government should point out if any external hand is involved in Karachi violence and judicial action should be taken against those people who wanted to divide the country. The government should also disclose the names of those people who were arrested by the law enforcement agencies during the raids conducted in various parts of the City during the recent violence, he added. To another question, Sami said that they present tribute to the CJP for taking suo moto notice on Karachi situation. The people should be fully cooperate with the Supreme Court. The JUI chief highlighted that present so-called democratic government and political leaders who were are following American policies like Pervez Musharraf. Military operation in Waziristan and tribal areas is not the proper solution against terrorism and the drone attacks could not be stopped in tribal areas till the government reject the US policies, he said. He said that the US leadership was trying to hold dialog with the Taliban in Afghanistan but America could not get one percent success and positive result in dialogues with Mullah Umar and its partners, Taliban in Pakistan. Sami appealed to all the religious parties to play their role for restoring peace in the City as well as in the country and forget their personal enmity. Maulana Asad Thanvi, Mufti Usman Yar Khan, Qari Abdul Mannan Anwar Naqshbandi, Hafiz Ahmed Ali, Maulana Hammad Madni and other JUI leaders were also present on the occasion.
