BAHAWALNAGAR - Kite selling and flying, which has been going on unchecked and unnoticed claimed the life an innocent child here the other day. Despite an official ban imposed by the Punjab government across the province, this dangerous activity has been continued without any check from the district police or administration and has claimed a precious life. According to detail, 10 Masood, a resident of Basti Saddar Din fell down from the rooftop of his house while catching a kite here the other day. He sustained critical injuries and was rushed to DHQ Bahawalnagar. However, later he was referred to Bahawalpur due to critical condition where he succumbed to his wounds. It is to be noted that kite manufacturing and selling has been in high demand during Eid holidays in different parts of the city in sheer violation of a ban. Zahoor Ahmad, a resident of Basti Saddar Din demanded the authorities concerned to implement the ban on kite-flying in letter and spirit to save lives citizens.
