MacLaine lands French film festival honour

Veteran actress Shirley Maclaine was honoured for her longstanding career at the Deauville American Film Festival in France on Sunday. The star, who made her debut movie appearance in 1955s The Trouble with Harry, boasts an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA - and now shes got another accolade to add to her collection. MacLaine stepped onstage to accept her coveted award at the annual French event, which is devoted to American cinema, but the actress admits shes unimpressed with the current crop of movies hitting theatres.
