ISLAMABAD  - Residents of F-block Satellite Town have protested against the dilapidated condition of water supply pipelines, saying that the broken pipelines are causing wastage of water and inconvenience for the residents
They said that on the one hand several areas are deprived of water facility and illegal water connections are on full swing but on the other hand that large quantity of water is going waste as the majorities of pipelines are broken in the area and inundated roads and street of the area. The residents demanded of WASA to repair the broken pipelines as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, in order to ensure provision of drinking water facilities to the residents of Union Council Rawat, Chief Commissioner Islamabad Tariq Mahmood Pirzada has directed speedy completion of remaining work on new water supply scheme.
A meeting was held to review and accelerate remaining work on the new water supply scheme in Rawat. Chief Commissioner, Tariq Mahmood Pirzada presided the meeting and attended by officials of local government.
The meeting was informed that long main water pipeline has been laid for new water supply scheme and remaining work would be completed within two weeks. The chief commissioner directed completion of remaining work on new scheme at the earliest.
