Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Mufti Munibur Rehman has urged the government to live up to the fast-worsening situation in the wake of threats being hurled to Syria and Saudi Arabia.

He stressed that the political leadership and not Army should control the situation in Karachi. Talking to the media persons here the other day, Mufti Munibur Rehman, who is also Secretary Tanzeemul Madris Ahle Sunnat, pointed out that the government should devise a comprehensive policy to tackle the situation in view of the looming war over Syria.

He emphasised that the situation in Karachi warranted the active role political leadership. It is the duty of the government to protect the life and honour of each and every citizen,” he pointed out, adding that the masses had voted the rulers to power to look after their interest. He said that Tanzeemul Madaris was struggling to improve the education system in the country. To a question, Mufti Munib asserted that the prevailing problems were not created over night rather were the result of corruption and inefficiency over the years, adding that all the crisis could be tackled effective and determination and strong will were needed to resolved them.
