SAWAT - Secretary Health Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Dr Fakhr-e-Alam on Thursday paid a visit to Saidu Sharif Group of Hospital and inquired after the health of dengue patients and reviewed the arrangements for their treatment.

The doctors informed the secretary that presently thousands of patients were suffering from dengue virus while 200 are under treatment at the hospital and 1,000 patients were discharged after recovery.

During his visit the patients expressed their dissatisfaction over the arrangements made by the hospital administration on which the secretary health came down hard on Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr Khurshid and Chief Executive Saidu Group of Hospitals Dr Taj Muhammad Khan.

Dr Fakhr-e-Alam was himself not satisfied from the arrangements of hospital administration made for the dengue patients.

When doctors highlighted the resource constraints to secretary, he promised to provide necessary help from provincial government. On this occasion, he directed both senior officers of the hospital MS and CEO that they should ensure free medicines and tests to all patients as well as extra care and treatment to dengue patients.
