Islamabad: Information Minister Pervez Rashid said that 1965 war was undoubtedly won by Pakistan and it has also been recognized by the world.

Addressing a function in connection with Defense of Pakistan Day in Islamabad today, he said on this day India failed in its aggression while Pakistan remained successful in defending its territory.

He said besides armed forces, every segment of the society played pivotal role in defense of Pakistan. He paid tributes to Radio Pakistan and Press Information Department for the pivotal role played by them in the war of 1965. He said the singers and poets through their voice and pen infused a new spirit of patriotism in the nation in 1965.

Pervaiz Rashid also paid rich tributes to industrialists, traders and vendors who maintained supply line, during the war. He said the enemies want to destabilize Pakistan politically and economically through terrorism. He urged the nation to foil nefarious designs of the enemy through unity.
