Abdullah Muhammad in his letter captioned 'Master of ceremonies' (March 29) has criticised Aitzaz Ahsan for making the flag-hoisting at the CJ's house a PPP show. Aitzaz Ahsan took on the deposed chief justice's case on behalf of his party and its leadership as a follow up to their anti-Musharraf stand. His stand was further reinforced when Benazir Bhutto claimed Iftikhar Chaudhry to be her Chief Justice and said that she would hoist the Pakistan flag at his house. Later, the PPP changed its stand on the judiciary issue but Aitzaz Ahsan stayed the course he had taken on the encouragement of his leader. Being first and last a PPP man, he hoisted the flag on behalf of his party. The ceremony was open to members of all parties but only a few chose to attend.
