KARACHI -  National Junior Champion Hunain Aamir finished runner-up in his group after suffering 1-4 loss in his last league match to Hossein Vafaei Ayouri of Iran in the 13th Asian Under-21 Snooker Championship in Indian city of Goa on Friday.

Reigning World Champion Ayouri, who finished runners-up in last month's 7-nation competition proved too good for Hunain. Ayouri made the breaks 81, 57 and 58 in his 97-04, 69-00, 79-01, 51-75, 96-00 victory. Hunain snatched the fourth frame from the seasoned cueist. But Ayouri produced sterling and controlled potting to chalk out an easy win, according to information made available here. Now in pre-quarterfinal, Hunian will meet M Lababi of Iran and M Majid Ali will take on Laxman Rawat of India.
