RAWALPINDI Christian employees from all the three government run hospitals in Rawalpindi have protested against non-declaration of public holiday on the eve of Good Friday and Easter.  Christian employees working in these hospitals complained that application to the administration of these three hospitals was given for approval of holiday so that they could celebrate their festivals with their families in a befitting manner. But the administration neither granted leave on Good Friday nor any holiday was announced for Easter, they added.

This discrimination against us has shocked us and it is against the spirit of interfaith harmony, they said.

They appealed to the chief minister Punjab to intervene in the matter and announce holiday on the occasion of these two festivals.
