Furious protesters lash out at rulers

MULTAN – The Jamaat-e-Islami Multan workers staged a demonstration against price hike, unemployment, increase in petroleum products’ rates, proposed restoration of Nato supply at Jan Muhammad Chowk here on Friday. Dozens of JI workers assembled at the chowk under the leadership of Asif Akhwani and shouted slogans against the government. They were also holding placards and banners inscribed with their demands regarding immediate withdrawal of increase in petroleum prices.Speaking on the occasion, Akhwani, Hafiz Aslam, Imran Mani said that the rulers had found a new tool to fleece the public in terms of petroleum prices. They added that recent increase in petroleum prices was highly unjust and cruel as the prices observed decline in international market. They said that the rulers accomplished the agenda of their foreign masters.They lashed out at President Zardari and said that all the money deposited in Swiss banks was looted from Pakistan. They added that criminals obliged other criminals by introducing NRO. They warned that restoration of Nato supply would be tantamount to committing national suicide and the nation would never accept this decision. They added that the organization of American slaves was pushing the country towards a mass suicide. They pointed out that on one hand entire national resources were captured by few American slaves while on the other hand the number of poor people soared with every passing day. They asked the people to change their voting behaviour if they wanted to get rid of dacoits, extortionists and target killers.
