The US announcement of a $10m bounty on Hafiz Saeed has provoked more rage and fury among the Pakistani nation against the US hostile policies for Muslim countries. Most of the people are of the opinion that the US has announced this bounty in response to a staunch reaction from the people of Pakistan over the news of restoration of Nato supply line. Moreover, this head money has also proved that India and US are hand in gloves against the whole of the Islamic world. It is another insulting reality that by announcing this bounty, the US authorities have expressed their complete distrust and disbelief on the judiciary of Pakistan. Responding to this head-money, talking to Al Jazeera TV, Hafiz Saeed said the US move was prompted by the fact that he had been organising rallies against the re-opening of supply lines through Pakistan to Nato forces in Afghanistan. He said, “The US is frustrated because we are taking out countrywide protests against the resumption of Nato supplies and drone strikes. We are not hiding in caves for bounties to be set on finding us.” Making the announcement of reward for arresting or killing Hafiz Saeed, US State Department’s sponsored ‘Rewards for Justice Programme’ blames on its webpage, "Hafiz Saeed is suspected of masterminding numerous terrorist attacks, including the 2008 Mumbai attacks, which resulted in the deaths of 166 people, including six American citizens.” India has very gladly welcomed the announcement of bounty on Hafiz Saeed. “The announcement of this reward is a reflection of the commitment by India and the US to bring perpetrators of the Mumbai terrorist attacks to justice’, said Syed Akbaruddin, spokesman for India's ministry of external affairs. He further said, “The bounty sends a strong signal to Lashkar-e-Taiba and also to its members and patrons that the international community remains united in combating terrorism.” Here the question arises; why it is always Pakistan that is blamed and framed for patronising terrorism. Be it the Mumbai Attacks or the tragedy of 9/11, suicidal blasts outside the Indian Embassy in Kabul or the terrorist attacks in London, all clues are intentionally pushed towards Pakistan. Instead of finding out the actual root-cause, all guns are pointed at Pakistan. The same approach was adopted last month by the French authorities when Mohammed Merah, a French national, in three different incidents on 11, 15 and 19 March 2012 killed seven persons at Toulouse, France. Immediately after the incidents, following the same mode of international conspiracy against Pakistan, French and international media started accusing Pakistan as the actual hidden force behind these killings. Why in their heat and haste, these international conspirators forget the sorry plight of innocent Dr. Aafia who has been facing US brutalities since long in US jails. Why don’t they recall to their minds that rogue named Raymond Davis who mercilessly killed three Pakistanis and is now leading a life full of honour and prestige in America? Answers to all these questions shall help the world a lot in unveiling the hidden faces behind every act of terrorism.
