TARBELA GHAZI - A man was killed reportedly over a land dispute by his cousins on Friday, sources said.

They said M. Raza, 45, resident of Shepati, a village of district Haripur, went to bazaar in a nearby village, where his cousins Fayaz and Niaz, who were equipped with kalashnikovs, opened fire on him. They said Raza was killed on the spot. The accused managed to escape. Police registered case against them and were conducting raids to arrest them.

The motive behind the killing was stated to be a land dispute. The dead body was sent to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Ghazi where postmortem was conducted and the dead body was handed over to his family for burial.

Raza was an employee of Haripur police. He was performing his duties as an official security guard of MPA and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, President Pir Sabir Shah.
