KARACHI -  Hundreds of Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) activists on Friday staged demonstration outside the press club to condemn a US$10 million bounty on JuD chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed and JuD central leader Hafiz Abdul Rehman Maki.

Hundreds of activists of JuD were assembled outside the press club in support of their leaders and expressed solidarity with them.

Enraged activists of Jamaatud Dawa torched the US flags and chanted slogans “Down with US and India,” “America deserves one treatment: Al-Jihad, Al-Jihad” and “We stand by Hafiz Saeed.” Addressing the protest demonstration, JuD Karachi chief Engineer Naveed, Prof Mehmoodul Hassan, JUI-S leader Mufti Usman Yar Khan, JUI-F leader Qari Usman, Maulana Umar Sadiq, JUP leader Mustaqeem Noorani, PML-N leader Zain Ansari and others condemned the US bounty on JuD chief Hafiz Saeed. They vowed that the Pakistani nation would not tolerate US interference and aggression against Pakistan and the JuD chief.

JuD Karachi leader Engineer Naveed Qamar claimed that America’s announcement of bounty on JuD leaders is due to the pressure of India but Americans have failed to present a single proof against the JuD leaders.

He vowed that the US would not be able to stop the JuD’s missions in the world, saying that we will not surrender in front of India and American conspiracies. Qamar said that the major crime of JuD was the support for humanity. “We will continue this crime of supporting the oppressed people of the country.” JUI-S leader Mufti Usman Yar Khan, in his address, demanded the government to immediately declare the American ambassador in Pakistan as persona non grata and deport him forthwith over the US bounty on Pakistani leader.

He warned the government not to restore the Nato supplies from Pakistan, saying that Pakistani nation will not allow the government to fulfil the American agenda.

The activists of the parties in Difa-e-Pakistan Council were also attended the protest of JuD.
