KARACHI – Former City Nazim Naimatullah Khan has submitted objection over the nomination papers of former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf from NA-250, and demanded the authorities concerned to declare the former president disqualify.   Khan was of the view that Musharraf is not eligible, hence he should be declared disqualify as he had violated the Constitution twice especially Act-VI.
On the other hand, the JI leadership has decided to field former city nazim Naimatullah Khan advocate on the slot of NA-250 against Pervez Musharraf.
TRANSPARENCY IN ELECTIONS SOLUTION TO ALL PROBLEMS:  Jamat-e-Islami Karachi Chief Hussain Mehanti has said that transparency in elections is solution to all problems, while impartial elections lead towards the solution of the problems of the country and the nation. The citizens would reject all extortionists and terrorists in the upcoming elections on May 11, he said, while speaking at an election campaign held at Dhorajee here on Saturday.
JI leader Nasarullah Shajji, candidate of PS-116, also spoke on the occasion. It is also pertinent to mention here that Hussain Mehanti will contest on the slot of NA-252.    
Mehanti said that after getting success in the upcoming election, JI will provide justice to Pakistani nation, while the dream of prosperous Pakistan would be true.
SHAHI SYED URGES PARTY WORKERS TO GET ACTIVE: Awami National Party Sindh Chief and Senator Shahi Syed said that during the last five years of governance, party had made efforts for the implementation of the true democracy, free judiciary and empowerment of the provinces.
Addressing the workers of district and wards of Karachi at Mardan House on Saturday, he said that ANP had worked for the masses. He said the people would elect the party candidates in the upcoming general election for the continuity of the development in country.
He said that the threats from the enemies still exist while the workers and leadership would face all the difficulties to defeat them. He said that the party pays tributes to the workers for their work during the tough period. He urged the workers to get active for the election campaign.
Talking about the no-go areas, he said that the Supreme Court action was appreciable that would relief the Pukhtoons in Karachi to avail all the facilities, including education and business. He added that party sacrifices for the metropolis and this is not hidden from anyone. “We will continue our struggle to maintain peace and restore lights to the Karachi.”
