PML-N responsible for deadlock in seats adjustment, says Atta


PESHAWAR - JUI-F Provincial Senior Naib Ameer Maulana Ataur Rahman has held the PML-N responsible for the deadlock persisted in the negotiations for seats adjustment between the two parties in KPK.
Though the JUI-F seat-to-seat adjustment with the PML-N at national level has already done but in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa dialogue is being in progress but yet not concludes,” he said while addressing a press conference on Saturday here at the JUI-F KPK Secretariat.
He said that talks with Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) for seat adjustment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were also in progress but no decision had been taken yet. He said in Punjab the PML-N didn’t contact his party regarding seats adjustment.   On the occasion, Arbab Kamal who submitted his nomination papers for the NA-4 announced to join the JUI-F along with his family members and friends.
Due to political role of the JUI-F in the country politics, he said besides masses, political families belonging to different parties joining the JUI.
He said that the JUI while awarding party tickets to its candidates for the upcoming general election had also made it clear that negotiations with the PML-N and QWP were also in progress about which final decision would be made.
To a query, he said that the Election Commission had asked for a detailed list of party candidates till April 17. “We are trying to finalise the seat-to-seat adjustment formula with the two parties. After that names of party candidates will be finalised,” he maintained.
Regarding the deadlock upon seats adjustment with the PML-N, he said if the PML-N had reservations over the JUI proposal then they should present their own, but there should a proper formula.
“We have also in touch with QWP for the seats adjustment in some districts, including Charsadda and Swabi and soon will be reach a point in a better manner,” he said.
