RAWALPINDI  – Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA), Rawal Town has started its campaign against dengue while special instructions have also been issued to the owners of all CNG stations,
Petrol Pumps, godowns, junk yards, tyre shops, service stations, under construction buildings that there should be no stagnant water otherwise action in accordance with the law would be taken.
Authorities concerned have also been directed to visit the vulnerable areas and precautionary measures against dengue should also be taken. According to the spokesman TMA, Rawal Town the steps are being taken to save the citizens from the dangerous attack of dengue.
He further said that all precautionary measures in this connection should be observed in letter and spirit as no negligence would be tolerated in this regard.
Town Officer Regulation, Superintendent, and Inspectors have started conducting raids in this regard while 110 unwrapped tyres have been confiscated from different city markets.
The tyres were confiscated from tyre shops as the city district government had strictly warned the shopkeepers that tyres, new and old, should be properly packed and covered which will help reduce the risk of the dengue spreading.
Administrator Rawal Town Saif Anwar Jappa has urged the tyre shops owners to cooperate with the staff concerned of TMA so that solid steps could be taken to control the spread of dengue in the city. He also warned that the violators of the orders would be dealt strictly.
Meanwhile TMA also challaned 47 shopkeepers while four truckloads goods were confiscated under drive against encroachments.
