Grenade hurled at journalist's house



PESHAWAR: The house of Jamshed Baghwan, a senior journalist of a private TV channel, was partially damaged during a hand grenade attack on wee hours of Sunday.
Baghwan told police that he was asleep in his house situated on Syed Hassan Pir Road when unknown persons hurled hand grenade at his main gate, which partially damaged the boundary wall and main gate of the house.
Heavy contingent of police rushed to the site and cordoned off the area soon after the incident. Police also collected evidence from the blast site. Police registered the case and started investigation. It was second attempt on the house of Baghwan as earlier a remote-controlled device planted near his house was defused by bomb disposal squad.–Staff Reporter
