Rawalpindi - Police have busted two gangs for their alleged involvement in murders, robberies and kidnapping for ransom incidents in Rawalpindi and Taxila. Police also recovered weapons and abducted child along with ransom money, disclosed SSP (Operations) Karamat Ullah Malik at a press briefing held here on Monday. Malik informed that police during action nabbed five members of a dacoit gang who were involved in committing dacoities in two houses at Bahria Town and Fauji Foundation Hospital Colony. The accused looted gold, cash, mobile phones, LCDs and licensed arms during dacoites, he said and added that two members of dacoit gang were also involved in murder of four people that occurred within limits of PS Kahuta on August 2014. Those who were held identified as Bilal Yamin Satti, Majid, Wajid, Faheem and Imran, he added. Majid and Wajid murdered four people on land dispute, the SSP told.

Police obtained four days physical remand of one accused Bilal Yamin Satti whereas four others were sent to Adyala Jail by a court of law for identification parade, Karamat said.

Sharing details about another success, the SSP said that Taxila police recovered a four-year-old child Shah Zeb from the captivity of kidnappers and held two kidnappers. He said that the kidnappers had demanded Rs 5 million as ransom from the family for release of the child. The family paid Rs 1 million ransom later to the kidnappers. Police taking action conducted a raid and recovered the abducted child, besides rounding up two accused. Ransom money was also recovered whereas the child was reunited with the family, he said.

Meanwhile, a delegation of traders called on Regional Police Officer Wisal Fakhar Sultan Raja at his office. During the meeting, the issues relating to law and order and security of traders came under discussion. RPO Wisal Fakhar Sultan Raja ensured the traders that police would provide traders with protection and would also solve their problems.
