Dissatisfied babu for better dengue surveillance

KASUR-The district coordination officer expressed dissatisfaction over the poor performance of Dengue Health Inspectors and warned them of stern action for showing slackness in dengue surveillance. She also directed the officials concerned to keep screening the patients in hospitals to find out dengue virus.
DCO Ammara Khan was addressing a meeting held here to review weekly performance of all the departments to fight dengue disease and halt its spread in the district. During the meeting, the health department officials briefed her that 1,982 reports of anti-dengue activities were sent to PITB through cellphones. The DCO expressed dissatisfaction over the performance and directed to issue show cause notice to the officials who do not report anti-dengue activities. "Next time, if the dengue cases are not reported, the medical superintendent of hospitals would be held accountable," she warned. The meeting was also apprised of the geo-tagging of 9,292 hotspots in the district.
