President lauds govt efforts to end illiteracy, corruption

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Sunday appreciated efforts of the government to end illiteracy and corruption from the country.

In an interview, he urged the need for collective efforts to lead the country towards progress and prosperity.

The president said it is encouraging that Pakistan has been listed among emerging markets and international financial institutions are lauding Pakistan's economic growth.

The president expressed satisfaction that so far no corruption scam has surfaced during this government's tenure.
