LAHORE - Heavy rain lashed parts of the country including Lahore yesterday, disturbing routine life by causing urban flooding, massive traffic jams, power shutdowns and water shortage.

Rain-thunderstorms occurred at scattered places in Sindh, Kalat, Zhob, Sibbi, Quetta divisions and at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, DG Khan, Peshawar divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.

In Lahore, strong winds started blowing at noon that followed by scattered rains.
