LAHORE - Salman Saleem clinched the under 17-19 title after beating Uzair Rasheed 3-2 in the five-day squash event final held here at the Punjab Squash Complex on Saturday.

In the under 17-19 final, Salman defeated Uzair Rasheed 11-9, 9-11, 7-11, 11-8, 11-3. Earlier in the semifinals, Salman Saleem beat Abdul Qadir 11-9, 9-11, 11-2, 11-2 while Uzair Rasheed beat Usman Hassan 14-16, 11-5, 12-10, 12-14, 11-6 (3-2).  In the under 13-15 final, Ashab Irfan outlasted Tayyab Rauf 11-8, 11-4, 11-9 to win the title. Earlier in the semifinals, Tayyab Rauf beat Huzaifa Shahid 11-8, 11-2, 7-11, 9-11, 11-3 while Ashab Irfan beat Usman Nadeem 11-7, 8-11, 11-6, 11-9.

In the under 11 final, Mehmood Mehboob beat Hamaza Shouket 11-1, 11-7, 8-11, 11-8. Earlier in the semifinals, Mehmood Mehboob beat Abdullah Nadeem 8-11, 10-12, 11-8, 11-8, 11-9 while Hamaza Shoket beat Zuraiz Nadeem 12-10, 12-10, 6-11, 11-4.  DCO Lahore Captain (R) M Usman Younis was the chief guest at the closing ceremony and distributed prizes among the winners. Lahore District Squash secretary Mamoon Khan, DSO Nadeem Qaiser, District Sports Officer Tanveer Abbass and others squash coaches and players were also presented.
