Islamabad - Prime Minister Imran Khan is all set to undertake series of visits to Sindh province most likely this month to fix the lingering provincial problems.
According to official sources visits of Prime Minister are being finalised in consultations with party leaders as well as with the leadership of PTI’s allied parties MQM-P and Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA). Apart from political activities of the prime minister, economic development and relief to the people and critical issue of law and order in the province would be on agenda of prime minister’s visit.
Sources further said that prime minister had directed the relevant institutions of the federal government to speed up projects under the Sindh package including the Green Line Transport project ahead of his visit.
As regards the law and order situation, federal government has decided to launch an action plan with cooperation of the provincial government. In case the provincial government shows its reluctance, the federation will continue with its action plan. Knowledgeable sources told The Nation that the action plan of the federal government envisages a full scale operation against dacoits, robbers, extortionists and drugs smugglers. It would be a joint operation led by the Rangers in coordination with FIA, Customs and Anti- Narcotics Force (ANF).
