Language of the English

General Secretary PPP, Mr Jehangir Badar, may be a sincere party worker but he does not fall in the category of leaders by any classification. He not only lacks the vision that is an asset of a political leader but his command of languages, especially English that he is so fond of conversing in, is also below par. The other day he was harping to the point of nuisance on the term 'global world' in a talk show. I have heard the term 'global village' but I don't understand this new term that he has coined. -DR SHAHID QAYYUM, Lahore, via e-mail, November 28.
