KARACHI (APP) - A high-level 12-member delegation of Indian Border Security Force led by Deputy Inspector General Shri BK Singh arrived at Khokhrapar on December 5 for quarterly Border meeting on issues relating to security along Pakistan-India border. The Indian delegation was received by Deputy Director General Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Brig Muhammad Latif along with other senior Rangers officials. On this occasion a smartly-turned out contingent of Rangerspresented guard of honour. In the meeting thereafter between two sides, matters pertaining to joint patrolling along the border, defence construction, issues of inadvertent border crossers and border demarcation at certain disputed points came under discussion at length. It is pertinent to point out that it was a routine meeting between the border guarding officials of both countries, which is held after every three months alternately in India and Pakistan. According to Rangers' sources, the meeting was held in a very cordial and friendly atmosphere. At the end of the meeting Deputy Director General Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Brig Latif and Deputy Inspector General Shri BK Singh expressed their optimism that such meetings would pave the way for good neighbourly relations between the two countries and contribute towards peace and prosperity in the region at large
