ISLAMABAD (APP) - Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Saturday decided to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha with simplicity and prepared programmes to remember and mark the martyrdom of Benazir Bhutto who was assassinated last year in a gun and bomb attack at Liaqat Bagh, Rawalpindi on December 27. "PPP's all political wings in the country including Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and Northern areas chapters have been directed to prepare schedules of their programmes regarding the death anniversary of late Chairperson in eid's holidays"said Ch. Manzoor, Incharge People's Labor Bureau and Central Secretariat here in a Press Conference today. He added the schedule will be communicated to the respective provincial organizations and to the Central Secretariat. However, he said the main activities would be held in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, Larkana and also in Liaqat Bagh, Rawalpindi simultaneously. He added that party leaders and workers will participate in the main ceremony at Larkana and the ceremony in Liaqat Bagh would be observed at the local level. Unveiling details of the anniversary programmes, he also included the 'Mushaira' (poetic competition) being the part of the ceremony, to be organized by People's Cultural Forum countrywide. People's Student Federation, People's Youth Organization and Labor Bureau would also arrange programmes on death anniversary of Mohtarmma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed. "We have released an overview, however the final date of the schedule would be made public and also to be released to media after Eid", Ch. Manzoor remarked. He congratulated the People's Unity who won a tremendous victory in Pakistan International Airlines elections and termed it as accomplishment of the dream of Mohtarmma Shaheed, said Ch Manzoor. Meanwhile Syed Nasir-ul-Hassan president of the union maintained that after the success of People's Unity, "Civil Aviation Foundation" has been brought into existence to resolve the problems of workers and this is also a welfare project of retired people of the AirLine.
